LGC is Hiring a Program Assistant Near Lexington, KY

LGC’s Sport and Specialized Analytical Services (SSAS) department, part of LGC ASSSURE, provides a range of contract analytical services, primarily involved in the analysis of drugs and substances prohibited in sport.

Supported by key stakeholders, LGC established the Informed Certification Programs (including Informed Sport and Informed Choice). These are a group of globally recognized quality assurance programs designed to support sports nutrition products, suppliers to the sports nutrition industry and supplement manufacturing facilities. Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Blind Sample Purchasing & Program Compliance

  • Lead the management, purchase and shipment of blind samples via online retailers (blind samples are commercial units of dietary supplement products certified with Informed Sport or Informed Choice).
  • Ensure all purchasing is completed in a timely manner and that testing of blinds occurs in line with program requirements.
  • Record applicable product information on appropriate internal electronic tracking systems.
  • Manage all receipts from purchases and maintain purchase ledgers for Finance department.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal teams to receive and ship blinds that are only available in their purchasing territory (for example by using third party shipping companies).
  • Lead in the resolution of any non-compliances relating to blind purchases, engaging with internal teams and/or customers as necessary.
  • Follow up missing orders with online retailers, keeping colleagues informed of any delays or challenges.
  • Complete replacement orders where necessary, communicating any discrepancies or issues with relevant PM team members and/or Finance department.
  • Utilize retailer websites, Informed Choice and Informed Sport Websites and internal database to assist in purchasing.

Administrative Processes

  • Perform administrative duties supporting across all Informed Certification Programs, communicating effectively with colleagues and relevant internal teams to ensure efficiency and integrity (this may also involve communication with customers).
  • Provide data reports to internal teams as necessary to support administration of the Informed Certification Programs.
  • Ensure full traceability of all records by following group record keeping procedures. Organise and maintain documents within relevant internal databases and network files.

General

  • Develop a basic understanding of program acceptance criteria, relevant quality standards and scientific techniques employed.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant internal groups (e.g. Operations, Business Development, Marketing) to support administration of the programs.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in relevant areas of program administration, generating and supporting implementation of improvement ideas.
  • Make timely and informed decisions, referring to senior staff where necessary.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to write, read, comprehend, and speak English
  • Organised with acute attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills – ability to multitask on numerous projects
  • Good interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Databases
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Commercial awareness (desirable, not essential)
